Liga MX side Tigres UANL is getting a well-deserved round of applause online after releasing a truly magnificent retro jersey along with adidas.

And seriously, what a beauty.

Tigres Retro Jersey x adidas

The long-sleeve shirt is inspired by the kits the team wore in the 1980s and celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL), the place where everything started for los felinos. In fact, the club’s logo was replaced by a big “U” over the heart.

In terms of design, the jersey is straightforward: Yellow background, blue stripe, and the word “Tigres” across the chest.

No need for silly sponsors nor eight thousand “Cemex” everywhere.

Amping the retro vibe, you can also see that adidas abandons its current logo to print its classic trefoil.

Tigres used the new strip for their official 2023 season photo, but it seems unlikely to see the team donning the shirt in an official match.

So, how can you buy it? The Tigres retro jersey will be available in the club’s store and adidas starting on October 16th.
